Skin Deep ft. Wongo & Hood Rich

An event for the books. We could not have imagined the scenes we had on the dancefloor. The day started with our locals ripping it up early with some groovy tech house in support of Hood Rich who came on after. He played some heavier tunes and set the vibes right for Wongo. Drinks in hand, smiles on faces, everyone danced into the evening with Wongo dropping banger after banger. The venue was full and the crowd was a sea of hands in the air once Chunky n Carter took to the stage. From then on we danced on sofas, podiums and each others shoulders to the rhythmic bass of our legendary local acts.

Wongo

Wongo joins us as Gold Coast's very own party-starter, producer and DJ. Wongo is co-headlining our second Skin Deep day party and with a big few years under his belt, is experienced in rinsing any dancefloor. He’s created tunes with the likes of A-Trak, Confidence Man and Yolanda Be Cool. Big tunes, big sets and big love – it’s all in a day’s work for one of the city's biggest house music artists.

Hood Rich

Hailing from the tropics of Townsville, Hood Rich draws from all genres of electronic music. He creates groove-driven hard-hitting house music, and has released a string of irresistible joints and remixes since 2016, including his ‘Strong Feeling / Crocodile Tears EP’ and ’Turbo’, a collaboration with Benson that went top 10 on Beatport. Hood Rich has become a mainstay across the Australian club and the festival circuit. He’s kept revellers hooked at Groovin’ The Moo, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Chinese Laundry, Elsewhere, Electric Circus and plenty more spots. Apart from crafting house jams, Hoody also runs Otherwise Bar (North Queensland's only dedicated live music venue) where you can catch him spinnin' alongside dance musics best.

Chunky n Carter

Chunky n Carter are the well known Gold Coast local duo. On almost every club lineup with gigs at Hard Fizz events, SASH Brisbane, Noosa Laneway Party, Elsewhere and a residency at Burleigh Pavilion - the lads have made quite a name for themselves. Their sets range from commercial house to heavy tech but can read a crowd like it’s second nature. We can’t think of a better act to lift the energy in the room prior to our headliners.

Just Jessie

Australian artist Just Jessie’s passion for electronic music began at a young age, raised by music-loving parents in a home constantly filled with the sounds of Crystal Waters, Jamiroquai & Michael Jackson. The inspiration derived from these iconic electronic artists, combined with her love of the deep, dark underground music scene is what would inevitably thrust Jessie into pursuing a music career of her own.

Chelsea Sharne

With Rufus inspired tunes and Ibiza worthy DJ mixes, Chelsea Sharne has made a name for herself in the Gold Coast House scene. Coming onto the stage in 2017 for the annual Your Shot competition, she has since developed a sophisticated music taste and flair for seamless transitions.

DJ Gloria Ansell

DJ Gloria Ansell is a new face that joins us for the second instalment of our Skin Deep day party. Her tech basslines and house heavy tunes are perfect for setting the scene for the afternoon. With tracks that make it hard to leave the dancefloor, it’s easy to understand why Gloria is such a prevalent name in the scene.
